January 18, 2019
Dear Cathedral Family,
How’s your HOPE level? Personally, I could not be more excited about this year. There’s such a sense of breakthrough for new dreams and new strategies for us, individually and as a church.
Speaking of NEW, if you haven’t had an opportunity to get our new mobile app and check out our new online/text giving options, I’d encourage you to do so. We’re looking forward to serving you better in both of these arenas this year!
Also, I’m thrilled to let you know that Pastor Eddie Tilley is expanding his role. He’s been leading the charge with Growth Track since we launched it in 2017 with tremendous success. Now he’s taking on Groups. With Eddie’s passion for people, we know that this is a great move!
Our Winter/Spring groups semester starts on January 27 with the groups directory opening this Sunday, January 20. If you’re interested in leading a group, there’s still time; be sure to join Eddie this Sunday after second service in the Chapel for Group Leader Training.
As we continue our “New Year, New Hope” series, I’m wondering, have you ever dreamed an impossible dream for your life? That’s the kind of dream God wants you to dream! You know, God specializes in making the impossible…possible. I love the way Jesus responded when asked if He could do what seemed impossible:
“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23 (NKJV)
Maybe your seemingly impossible dream is a happy and whole family, physical healing, the return of a wayward loved one, a successful and fulfilling career, or (you fill in the blank). Guess what? God is ready to help us go beyond what seems “possible”. His ALL means ALL!
I look forward to worshipping with you, taking communion, and dreaming with God together this Sunday.
Dreaming and believing,
Mike Lewis
