Happy New Year! I hope you are all staying safe and warm during this wild snow adventure.
Pastor BH gave a wonderful message last Sunday! “Don’t bully yourself!” This message gave us a great jumpstart into 2018 with an excellent reminder to make sure that our thoughts about ourselves, our situations, our future (and more) all line up with what God is saying. If you missed the service, we’ll have it online next week once we get back to normal operations.
I’m very excited about the new year! I believe God wants to bring tremendous increase into our lives in 2018.
Growing up on a farm, our family had a garden every year. I learned early in life the value of preparation. In order for the land to yield its potential harvest, you had to do the hard work of preparation. So we’re kicking off 2018 by PREPARING for the increase.
Here’s what the Bible says in Luke 16:10-13 (NLT) about handling the resources entrusted to us:
If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?
No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money. Growing up in a farming community, you also learn the power of momentum. This is what we’re believing will happen as we prepare for our series Untangled.
Everyone PREPARES together, creating a momentum of expectation for the HARVEST. God wants you debt FREE, and He wants to INCREASE your resources, so let’s commit to the hard work of preparation together!
Debt free is the place to be! So let’s put on our gloves, lace up our boots, and roll up our sleeves. It’s time to get Untangled and PREPARE for the HARVEST!
