Happy Thanksgiving! I love this time of year when nature starts to slow down. The trees are losing their leaves, the grass is beginning to go dormant, and there’s just a general sense of SLOWING DOWN. I believe it’s a good cue for us as well, to slow down and take inventory of all the wonderful blessings we have and to choose to be THANKFUL.

Sometimes it’s easy to see your blessings, and sometimes you may have to turn over a few rocks to find them, BUT they’re there! The apostle Paul, in the wisdom of his years, discovered this truth and shared it with us.

“Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:11-13)

I shared with you last week that we had 165 salvations during the first two weeks of AT THE MOVIES! This past Sunday another 60 people made the decision to accept Christ! That’s 225 people in 3 weeks! It is such a delight to see PASTOR DAVE truly operating in his gift as he’s taking the lead in this series!

Our Growth Track ministry, which is our next step for everyone at Cathedral, has also seen a near 100% increase in attendance in November. Combined with our recent salvations, that’s a lot of people beginning their journey with God and taking the next step in that journey! My heart is full of JOY as I think of all those changed lives! THANK YOU for noticing and inviting the people around you who need God.

KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN! We have one more Sunday of AT THE MOVIES and then we’ll move into our December series, IT’S CHRISTMAS at CATHEDRAL! Every Sunday through the rest of the year will be a great opportunity for you to invite someone who just needs to hear the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS!
