January 3, 2020
Dear Cathedral Family,
Happy New Year! Can you believe it?!?! It’s 2020!!!
I cannot wait to be back with you this Sunday as we start this new decade together as a church family. Thank you for praying for me over the last few weeks. I’ve missed being with you, but I couldn’t be more pleased with how our team stepped up and carried the services during December and on Christmas Eve! God has blessed us beyond measure.
Thank you to everyone who was a part of bringing “A Fairy Tale Christmas Carol” to life this Christmas Eve! It was over-the-top incredible!! Your investment made a huge impact for the Kingdom of God this Christmas.
Let’s take a moment and celebrate that over 300 people started their journey as followers of Christ on Christmas Eve! That’s just astounding!! We know that those lives didn’t get changed just because we had an amazing production – which it was! YOU played a huge role by inviting your friends and family and helping get the word out so that each precious person was in the room, able to encounter the life-changing presence of God. Now that’s a Merry Christmas!
As we start 2020, I’m excited for what God has in store for us as a church. We’re launching our TRAILBLAZERS series this Sunday with what I believe is a transformational word that will unlock a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment and just make life better. We’ll also be taking communion together as we close the door on 2019, leaving behind anything that would hinder us as we move forward with fresh vision into 2020.
Don’t miss our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting that begins Monday, January 6. We’ve updated our website and app with resources for you. We’ll have an hour of prayer together in the Worship Center during the week, Monday through Friday from 6:30am until 7:30am. If you cannot join us in person, we’ll be going LIVE on Facebook at 6:30am each day; the video will remain online for 24 hours. We’re believing BIG!!!
Let’s make 2020 our best year ever – TOGETHER!!! See you Sunday!
Blessings to you,
Mike Lewis
