Dear Cathedral Family,
Can I take a moment and get really real? Are you like me in that you sometimes struggle with feeling like you didn’t fully accomplish what you set out to do? (I’m trusting that we’re safe together, so here goes.)
Last Sunday, we talked about PURPOSE in the second part of our Trailblazers series. (If you missed last Sunday’s message, I’d encourage you to watch it soon.) Moment of honesty here – I left our services wondering:
- Did they get it?
- How many people walked away today with a greater sense of purpose?
- Who is still hounded by doubt or lies like, “I’m not sure MY life really has purpose. That’s great for other people, but I don’t think the whole purpose thing applies to me.”?
Over my life, I have learned that fulfilling our God-given purpose depends a great deal on what we believe, about God and about ourselves. Our beliefs determine our actions, which makes it crucial that we know (& believe) the TRUTH of who God is and that we know (& believe) what He says about our identity.
In pursuit of those truths, there’s a Hebrew word used in reference to God’s character that I’m going to introduce to you on Sunday. This word has rocked my world, and I’m believing that it will do the same for you! My prayer is that you’ll leave this Sunday more confident in the truth that you have what it takes to live out the purposes of God and serve your generation well!
As we head into the final week of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, I believe that God is moving in an incredible way. There’s a sense of something vital being established as we lay the foundation for 2020 and the new decade!
We’re seeing prayers answered and experiencing more unity as a church family. Courage is rising as God strengthens us during this season to meet the challenges we face! Now is the time to step boldly into this incredible opportunity to begin dreaming with God for the future!
There’s VICTORY ahead! See you Sunday.
