CATHEDRAL, we are no longer where we were, and we are not yet where we are going to be, but PRAISE GOD we ARE in His presence.

Whenever you find yourself in a transitional stage of life, whether personally, organizationally, or both, the ONE THING that will give you peace in the chaos and shine a light in the darkness is the presence of God. “For the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is FREEDOM!” (2 Corinthians 3:17)

During Vision Night on Tuesday evening, we definitely encountered the Spirit of the Lord! We had an amazing time of corporate worship and prayer! We were led well by the worship team, and the Spirit of the Lord moved as we prayed corporately for healing in people’s minds and relationships. We prayed for blessings in their finances, jobs, and for new business ideas. We prayed for old thoughts and patterns to be broken, and for God-thoughts to bring NEW LIFE!

I want to ENCOURAGE you, or better yet challenge you, to UP your personal devotion game! When David found himself in a place of darkness and chaos, where everyone around him was reacting out of fear, anger, and deep sorrow, HE CHOSE a different reaction. “But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” (1 Samuel 30:6b)

I personally think we can see David encouraging himself through his devotion to Worship, the Word, and Prayer. It would serve you well in this season to “strengthen yourself” in these three areas, and allow the presence of God to minister to you on a daily basis.

This Sunday, I’ll continue sharing with you about the STUCK place, and how to become more aware of God’s presence, because I continue to be convinced that the greatest growth and maturity happens when…“you are here”.
