The numbers are in, and we’re on the right track!

We’re two weeks into our UNTANGLED series, and we have over half of our congregation enrolled in Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU)!

During week 2 of the group, FPU participants provide a confidential and anonymous financial snapshot of their home. Each family turns in a card with three numbers: 1) non-mortgage debt, 2) liquid cash on hand, and 3) number of open credit cards. When we share the total group numbers with you this Sunday, you will have NO DOUBT this series is God’s call for us to return to His ways of handling our money – sooner than later.

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” John 10:10

I’m so excited that so many people are on the road to getting freed from the life-draining weight of debt! An atmosphere of hope is rising in the FPU small groups. When we acknowledge that we’ve missed the mark in managing our resources, and make the decision to turn back to His ways of managing those resources, something amazing happens.

“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT

Imagine a restored city! Imagine more healing, wholeness, and restoration for the people and families of our city. When we become faithful stewards of what God has already given us, He gives us more, and He continues to increase our resources and influence as we continue to steward them well.

I believe God is positioning us to be the leaders and influencers of our community. He wants to see His kingdom come and His will be done in our city as it is in heaven!
