Note from Mike – Happy Easter!

April 13, 2017

Happy Easter Cathedral Family!

In John 10:10, Jesus says, “The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

The momentum has been building. Personal story after personal story has reminded us of the power of the Gospel to save and change lives. The atmosphere is pregnant with the expectancy of more and more people being rescued and saved from the power of the thief this weekend!

Colossians 1:13-14
For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.”

On Good Friday and Easter Sunday there’s gonna be a whole lotta transferrin’ goin’ on! SO MANY will enter into the Kingdom of God for the first time this weekend!

2 Corinthians 5:17
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”

Easter means NEW LIFE! You get a new life, and you get a new life, and you get a new life. For every hand that goes up this weekend, a new life will begin, and that new life will touch another life and another life and another life. Families will find new life! Marriages will find new life! Parents will find new life! Children will find new life! And on and on and on…it’s an eternal chain reaction.

Romans 10:14-15
But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

You have beautiful feet! I’m praying that God will give all of us eyes to see and ears to hear. Who is it that we haven’t invited yet? Who is that maybe we missed? We don’t have to depend on our own memory; we can simply ask the Holy Spirit…Who else can I ask to come hear the good news this weekend? There are people all around you, now…put those beautiful feet into ACTION!

I’ll see you this EASTER!
