Dear Cathedral Family,
So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
Colossians 1:9-10 (NLT)
One family discovered our Faith Over Fear Virtual VBS online last summer and came from out-of-state this year so their children could experience it in-person. We even had a family from Peru here in the area on vacation who saw the sign on Ashley Phosphate while they were driving by and decided to bring their kids. I can’t wait for you to hear and see more of what happened during VBS as we celebrate together this Sunday!
From the staging and décor, registrations, check-in, activities, teaching, area leaders, music, dance, drama and tech, to all the behind-the-scenes details – something this BIG doesn’t happen without an army of people praying and coming together to make the vision a reality!
Thank you to everyone who played a part and sponsored children to attend. Let this register deep in your heart – YOUR giving of your time, talent, resources and prayers made a difference in changing the eternal destiny of a whole host of children and at least 40 adults (parents and family members) who made the decision to follow Jesus on the last night of VBS!
Would you join me in an over-the-top YAY GOD?!?! Now, we have the privilege of helping these new believers grow in their faith and relationship with God.
I’m so looking forward to us being together this Sunday. Pastor Charles Simpson will be back with us, and I cannot wait to hear the word that God has for us. There’s something special and powerful about sitting under the ministry of someone who has such longevity in his relationship with God. He has ministered to me for many years, so I know that he will minister to you!
I believe that you’ll encounter God’s presence in a special way this Sunday as we worship together, in-person at 9 & 11am OR online at 11am via Facebook, YouTube, or our streaming service.
Taking it to the next level in God together,
Mike Lewis
