Dear Cathedral Family,
Thank you for being such a wonderful congregation and praying for me during my summer study break. It has been an incredible time of hearing from the Lord and spending extended time in His presence.
I’ve heard great things about all our summer speakers. God has certainly blessed us with gifted men and women of God, who love Him, love the Word and love YOU! I trust that you’ve been blessed by their teaching and ministry.
This Sunday, we’re jumping into a brand new series, PRAY FIRST! When his disciples said, “Lord, teach us to pray,” this is what Jesus gave them as a model prayer in Matthew 6:9-13:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
I’m so looking forward to unpacking this passage with you. I believe God wants to do some astounding things in us individually and as a church family as we dive into this topic and experience the power of prayer together.
I can’t wait to see you and worship together on Sunday.
