Merry Christmas Church Family!

We’re in the countdown to Christmas! In the midst of the hustle and bustle, checking all those items off your To Do lists, hosting and attending holiday parties, I do hope that you’re finding moments to just stop and breathe, to take in the true reason for the season, to make space to encounter God.

You know, God really does love YOU! And, guess what, He LIKES you, too!! God enjoys spending time with you and would love to connect with you at a new level this Christmas. That’s my ongoing prayer for us all – a fresh awakening to God’s presence and for our JOY level to rise in this season.

Advent, the season leading up to Christmas, focuses our hearts on the anticipation of the arrival of Jesus. You may be using an Advent calendar with your children this December. If so, you know that the closer we get to Christmas Day, the bigger their excitement. It’s definitely a time of HOPE, especially through the eyes of a child.

How is your HOPE these days? What are you anticipating? Do you look forward to the future with great expectations? I’m excited about what’s in store for us this Sunday. Pastor Eddie Tilley has an incredible word that you won’t want to miss. I’m confident that your HOPE level is going to be higher by the end of service.

Our Christmas Eve services are just a week away. We’ll have four this year: two on Sunday, December 23, at our regular service times (9am and 11am) and two on Monday, December 24, at 3pm and 5pm. Remember, Christmas is one of those special times when people are most likely to respond with a YES to a personal invitation to church. Be thinking who you can invite and be sure to pick up several invite cards this Sunday.

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 5:13, NLT)

Blessings to you and yours,

Mike Lewis
