Hello Cathedral Family!

WHAT A TREAT it was to have Adrian and Ophelia De Visser from Sri Lanka with us this past Sunday. They are such a gracious family and the work that God is doing through their family all around the world is absolutely amazing! I DON’T KNOW WHEN I’ve been any more excited about a series than the one we are launching this weekend! We will begin talking about the subject of FEAR.

There’s a healthy God-given fear that is instinctual and meant to protect us from known dangers, but there is also an unhealthy fear. Unhealthy fear can have its roots in something natural; fear of the unknown or of the future, rejection, abandonment or some other trauma, just to name a few. To some degree, many of us experience some level of anxiety over such things, BUT when that level rises to the point that it has a debilitating effect in our lives, we know that’s not part of God’s desire for us.

I CAN HEAR JESUS speaking to us as a congregation the words He spoke so often in Scripture, “FEAR NOT.” I believe we will experience exactly what they experienced in Scripture…FREEDOM!

WE’LL LOOK AT FEAR from many different angles, and we’ll discuss practical measures you can take to begin to walk in victory over the unhealthy fear that we all encounter. AGAIN please look around you and consider what friend, family member or coworker you can invite who would benefit from this crucial and, I believe, timely series.
