Dear Cathedral Family,
Have you enjoyed a little more freedom this week after taking action to forgive and let go of some past hurts last Sunday? I sincerely hope so.
I know from experience the relief that comes when we release that weight into the mighty and capable hands of God. Remember, no matter what your feelings tell you, you are not where you were and something DID happen when you took that step! If you missed the message, you can view it here.
This Sunday, we’re continuing our PRAY FIRST series. One of the major themes that keeps emerging in the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) is that of dependence on God, which is tied directly to how we relate with God as our Father.
So how does our dependence on and relationship with God factor into how we handle temptation and deal with the enemy our of souls? I’m looking forward to exploring this together on Sunday as we unpack this next phrase: “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
Thank you for your generous giving toward our Hurricane Dorian relief efforts. In addition to helping our friends and neighbors locally, we’re partnering with Water Mission to help those affected in the Bahamas. If you’d like to contribute, you may do so online at cathedralgives.com, via our app (We Are Cathedral), text to 84321, or during service this Sunday. Please indicate “Missions” when you give.
Many of you have been asking and I’m happy to tell you that a new shipment of PRAY FIRST wristbands arrived today, so be sure to pick up yours (and some to share) on Sunday if you haven’t already!! We’re loving seeing your posts on social media. Keep them coming and keep on praying!
I can’t wait to see you on Sunday
