Dear Cathedral Family,
Thank you all for praying as we faced Hurricane Dorian! Dean and I have been praying for you and your family.

Just a couple of hours ago, we were able to make the call to move forward with services tomorrow after getting power restored and repairing several AC units. We had power lines down which made campus unsafe until this morning. In addition, we lost the roof of Building E (which houses our Bread Basket).

Our facilities crew has worked tirelessly to make our campus safe and ready for our church, Preschool and Academy families. Please extend your appreciation to them when you see them for their incredible efforts on our behalf!

I encourage you to continue praying for those who have experienced devastation as a result of Dorian, especially those in the Bahamas and along the coastline of the Carolinas. We are making plans for ways to assist in relief and recovery efforts and will keep you updated on how you can help.

I can’t wait to see you tomorrow as we continue our PRAY FIRST series. We’ll be focusing on the next phrase – “Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors”. There’s so much to unpack in this statement!!!

What is true forgiveness? What if what was done seems unforgiveable? What if I’ve tried to forgive but I still struggle with the person? How do I let go of the resentment? How do I move on from the hurt?

I’m believing for many of us to experience a level of freedom and peace that we’ve been seeking for quite some time. I’m trusting God to meet us in a very gracious way tomorrow and in the days to come. Be sure to invite someone to join you!

Just a reminder that you’re welcome to join in our pre-service prayer time in the Worship Center at 8:15am this Sunday morning.

Can’t wait to see you on Sunday. #PRAYFIRST
