UNTANGLED is a great word to describe what’s happening in our Cathedral family right now. We’re becoming UNTANGLED in how we see and INTERACT with the world around us. Our WORLDVIEW is coming back to right focus. The first half of our series focused on finances and we’ve been hearing some wonderful success stories from our Financial Peace University small groups! People are so excited about tearing down their debt and strengthening their financial future with a biblical, God-honoring perspective of money.

This Sunday we’ll apply the same principles to our work. Work can be just a means to pay your bills or work can actually be part of God’s plan for your life. When we manage money poorly the results are stress, debt and anxiety just to name a few. What about poorly managed work? Could it be that God expects WORK to be managed as responsibly as money? There’s been an “awakening” in our congregation around stewarding finances and I believe God wants us to experience that same awakening concerning our work.

I’m excited about UNTANGLED because it is applying spiritual truth with practical application and it is REALLY HELPING people! Nothing excites me more than seeing people get real help for their EVERYDAY LIFE. Ask yourself these questions:

How does God see me as a business leader?
What’s the purpose in my work?
Is my work producing life in me?
How does “His kingdom come, and His will be done” in MY work?

We’ll begin to answer those questions Sunday. Here’s a hint…there are two possibilities for work in our lives. Jesus put it this way, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” John 10:10
