Note from Mike – Happy Mother’s Day

May 5, 2016

Hello Cathedral Family,

It’s time for us to EXIT US!! This week we will be taking a break from our series EXIT US to celebrate Mother’s Day together!

A 19th century American preacher and poet reflected, “No language can express the power, and beauty, and heroism, and majesty of a mother’s love. It shrinks not where man cowers, and grows stronger where man faints, and over wastes of worldly fortunes sends the radiance of its quenchless fidelity like a star.”

Our 16th president Abraham Lincoln had this to say about his mother, “I remember my mother’s prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life.” I can honestly echo President Lincoln’s sentiments from my own life journey.

There is a lot more we could say about mothers, but we will wait until Sunday. Join us as we honor our moms who are in God’s presence and celebrate the ones we still have with us.

We will jump back into EXIT US on Sunday, May 16!

See you Sunday. Happy Mother’s Day!!!
