Drawing Near

May 14, 2021

Dear Cathedral Family,

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
James 4:8 (NET)

Can you believe that it’s already the middle of May? Time seems to be flying by. I’ve been praying for you specifically to experience God’s presence in new and fresh ways, to have the Bible come alive to you, and for your passion to be ignited to reach others with the Good News of salvation through Jesus.

There’s been something really special about this year at Cathedral! God is definitely on the move. We may not fully see or understand everything, but I know that He has a plan and that He is working it out. It’s our responsibility, make that response-ability, to align ourselves with His plans and purposes. There’s really no more exciting place to be!

I trust you enjoyed our Mother’s Day service and the message by Pastor Megan Turner. She really does love deeply! For all our amazing ladies, I just want to bless you with knowing that you are seen and known by God and your life matters. No matter what the “holiday” day was like for you, let the truth of your value and worth go down deep into your heart. If you have a few minutes, read Ephesians 3:16-21 (the Passion Translation is especially rich)! Then imagine what it would be like to live in the reality of God’s miraculous power constantly energizing you, enabling you to live and love well! That’s what I’m believing for you.

This week, we’re picking back up with our END TIMES series. If you missed any of the messages, go ahead and take some time to get caught up either on our website or our app. God really has given us a special grace for making a complex subject both understandable and encouraging. Pastor Dave Ammons will be diving into the book of Revelation on Sunday. You don’t want to miss it!

I’m looking forward to worshipping God with you and learning together this Sunday, in-person at 9 & 11am OR online at 11am via Facebook, YouTube, or our streaming service.

Come expectant!
