Hello Cathedral Family!

FEAR…LET’S TALK is our current mini-series, and I can honestly say that I think we’ve “poked the bear” on this one!

LAST SUNDAY, I became aware that this series has triggered a tremendous amount of spiritual warfare. Last week I talked about “push back”, which is a term we use to describe the resistance you encounter in the atmosphere when you begin to PUSH INTO an area that is a stronghold. If you’ve had some unusually difficult times emotionally, mentally, or physically, it may be that if we pull the curtain back a little, you might find the truth of Ephesians 6:11-12 happening in your life.

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Think of it this way – The closer an army gets to the heart of the enemy’s territory, the more fortified that territory is. FEAR is definitely at the heart of our enemy’s territory. He uses it, in some form or fashion, to cripple our efforts to experience the TRUE abundant life promised by Jesus.

THIS SUNDAY we’re going to HIT FEAR HEAD ON with the weapons God has given us. We’re going to deploy worship, the Word, and prayer to BREAK THE SPIRIT OF FEAR off of our minds. We’re going to CELEBRATE THE VICTORY we have in JESUS with communion. I feel so strongly about helping people get freed from the grip of FEAR that I’ve asked Donna Kingsbury, a licensed professional counselor, to join me for a Q&A session around the topic of FEAR Sunday afternoon at 5pm in the auditorium. We’ll also have a time of ministry and prayer for those who have been or are struggling with the issue of fear.

So here are 3 actions steps for you.

1) Watch any of the FEAR…LET’S TALK series you may have missed online.

2) Plan to attend our FEAR…LET’S TALK Q&A meeting Sunday at 5pm.

3) Invite a friend to sit with you Sunday morning!

GOD BLESS YOU and I’ll see you Sunday!
