Let’s go back to Bethlehem! This Christmas, let’s open our hearts back up to the miraculous promise of God coming to earth. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.” That promise is ours today. We just have to adjust our antenna…tune our receiver, our heart, back into the GOOD NEWS that will bring GREAT JOY to all people.

I know, I know, there’s been disappointment, disillusionment, hurts and pain that have brought you great sorrow this year. Can I just remind you of the story from this past Sunday of the two men on the road to Emmaus? Jesus knows where you are, He knows what you’ve gone through, He knows what you’re going through now, and He wants to join you on your journey.

Invite Jesus to join you on your journey. It’s not too late. It’s never too late!

There’s a wonderful scene in Luke chapter 2. Mary and Joseph, young, in love, and full of the hopes and dreams of the promises of God encounter Simeon, an old prophet with a heart weary from a long-lived life. His faith has been refined by the sheer determination of believing against all odds in the everlasting promises of God. Now, between them, is a child, Jesus, the Christ child, the fulfillment of all God’s promises. What’s the significance of this scene to the story of Christmas? That’s what we’ll talk about Sunday.

Joy to the world
The Lord is come
Let earth receive her King
Let every heart prepare Him room
And Heaven and nature sing
And Heaven and nature sing
And Heaven and Heaven
And nature sing!

God Bless You and Merry Christmas!

I’ll see you Sunday!
