Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.
Luke 2:52 (NLT)
Dear Cathedral Family,
This Sunday is week 3 of our ACTIVATE series and I can’t wait for you to experience what our team has in store for you. Pastor Eddie Tilley has a powerful message about activating GROWTH in our lives. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, the question of our eternal salvation is settled. But that moment of decision is just the beginning of our journey toward wholeness.
Part of our responsibility as pastors and leaders, beyond sharing the gospel message, is to equip God’s people – that’s YOU!
And he has appointed some with grace to be apostles, and some with grace to be prophets, and some with grace to be evangelists, and some with grace to be pastors, and some with grace to be teachers. And their calling is to nurture and prepare all the holy believers to do their own works of ministry, and as they do this they will enlarge and build up the body of Christ.
— Ephesians 4:11-12 (TPT)
Did you notice that underlined phrase? You have your own work of ministry – something that God has uniquely appointed for you.
We’re all about helping you fulfill your purpose! So we intentionally provide tools and ways (through our Sunday services, Growth Track, Groups, and our Dream Team) to help you grow in knowing God, finding freedom through relationships with others, discovering purpose as you find out how God uniquely wired and gifted you, and making a difference by get involved in meaningful ways that impact our church, your home and workplace.
It just delights my heart when I see people discover that sweet spot and come alive, becoming more and more of who God created them to be. And I know it delights God, too! So, don’t miss this Sunday’s service. We’ll be worshipping together in-person at 9am and 11am and via Facebook live and Livestream at 11am. Come expecting an encounter with God!
I’m looking forward to hearing your story and seeing you come alive as you ACTIVATE GROWTH in your life!
With great expectations,
Mike Lewis
