Hello Cathedral Family!
FALL CAN’T COME FAST ENOUGH! Have you noticed the SLIGHT change in temperature the past couple of mornings? It’s a teaser that cooler days are coming. It may not feel like it by the time the sun comes up, but just that slight hint of cool first thing in the morning lets you know that change is in the air! That little change is a signal to all of nature to begin preparation for the coming fall and winter.
There is a natural cooperation that plants and animals have with the seasons. They act and react differently in order to be prepared for what lies ahead. (Let’s all be praying that fall comes sooner rather than later!)
WHAT SEASON ARE YOU IN? The past few Sundays we’ve been talking about how we’re either going into, in the middle of, or coming out of…a season. Now God says He causes ALL things to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them (Romans 8:28).
So how do we make sure that we are getting the most out of every season? We cooperate. Just like nature, there is a cooperation that needs to happen between us and God so that we grow and mature spiritually. This Sunday, we’ll explore the idea of cooperating with God to maximize our spiritual growth and maturity.
THANK YOU for your generosity in giving toward the Hurricane Florence relief. We are partnering with a church in North Myrtle Beach that is coordinating supplies and boots on the ground for victims and their families. Wanda Litchenberg talked in depth about our partnership at the end of last Sunday’s message. If you missed service you can watch it here, and if you’d like to give towards the hurricane relief effort you can give here.
PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY for those impacted by Hurricane Florence. I will update you with more specifics about the impact we’re having this Sunday.
GOD BLESS YOU and I’ll see you Sunday!
